If I can do that for a minute or so, I become absorbed, and often have a flash of a vision in which I am fully involved. I don't have a sense of my physical whereabouts: I am totally in the visionary experience. It ends quickly, as a rule. Then I am "on the other side of thought," meaning that I am now free of active thinking, and simply observe whatever arises without a sense of authorship or concern. That's the goa of my mediation.

As for the otherworldly experiences, I never experience fear going through the darkness, even when someone takes my hands or feet. I am not sure why I am not afraid, but I'm okay with whatever happens. My subjective experience of time tends to match pretty accurately the passage of clock time. I usually spend 45-120 minutes in a sequence of domains, the end of which is usually a planetary domain. How long do these feel like they last? The times I’ve decided to visit the stars I have gotten scared and turned around. The same with going under ground. I guess I like to stay close to the ground. Do you do any any specific type of meditation, ie mindfulness or focusing on your breath? Thanks for sharing!
Azalea34https://www.blogger.com/profile/16185146065712223701noreply@blogger.com
